Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 August 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before booking a free trial or enrolling in a course with Conversation Café Morocco (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a trial, attending a session, enrolling in the course, or using our homework app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not book.

1. Who we are

Conversation Café Morocco is an English speaking course for working professionals, based in Mohammedia, Morocco, run by Abu — a native English speaker from London with 13 years of teaching and coaching experience.

2. Definitions

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book a free trial or enrol in the course. By booking, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you give us (name, phone number, email, level) is accurate.

4. Free trial

5. Enrolment and payment

6. Refund policy

All course fees are non-refundable once you have enrolled and paid. This applies regardless of attendance, satisfaction with the course, or personal circumstances. The free trial exists precisely so you can decide before paying — please use it to make sure the course is right for you.

Two exceptions apply: (a) if we cancel the cohort entirely and cannot offer you a place in a comparable cohort, we will refund the fee in full for the sessions not delivered; and (b) nothing in these Terms removes any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer under Moroccan law.

7. Attendance and missed sessions

8. Sessions cancelled or changed by us

If we cancel a session (for example, due to illness, venue issues, or other circumstances beyond your control):

We may also change the café venue, the day, or the time of a session where necessary. We will give as much notice as we reasonably can by WhatsApp. In exceptional circumstances (for example, a venue closure or a public restriction) a café session may be delivered online instead.

9. Code of conduct

To keep the group experience positive for everyone:

10. Course materials and intellectual property

All course materials — including slides, homework content, the self-study app, audio, and any recordings of lessons — are the intellectual property of Conversation Café Morocco / Abu and are provided for your personal use only, under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for the duration of your course.

You may not copy, share, redistribute, repost, resell, or publish any course materials, recordings, or homework content, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission, and you may not use them to teach or train others, commercially or otherwise.

11. Online lessons and technology

12. Homework app and accounts

13. Testimonials, photos and video

If you agree to provide a testimonial (written or video), you grant us permission to use it in our marketing, including on our website, social media, and advertising, until you withdraw that consent in writing.

We sometimes take photos or short videos at café sessions. We will ask before using anything that identifies you, and you can ask us to stop or to remove an image at any time by contacting us. Consent to marketing use is always optional and never a condition of attending.

14. Communications

By giving us your number, you agree that we may contact you on WhatsApp and by email about your trial, your bookings, session reminders, schedule changes and homework. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP or telling us in writing; we will still send the operational messages needed to run your course.

15. Your data

How we collect, use and store your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

16. Limitation of liability

We aim to provide high-quality speaking coaching, but we do not guarantee specific results (such as a particular fluency level, exam score, promotion, or career outcome). Progress depends on your attendance, participation and practice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your participation in the course, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the course is limited to the amount you actually paid us for it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

You attend café sessions at your own risk with respect to the venue itself (e.g. spills, seating, food/drink service), which is operated by a third party, and you are responsible for your own belongings.

17. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example strikes, extreme weather, power or internet outages, illness, venue closure, or government restrictions. Where possible we will reschedule affected sessions or move them online.

18. Changes to the course or these Terms

We may update the course schedule, format, or these Terms from time to time. Where changes materially affect an enrolled student, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via WhatsApp. The version published on this page is the version that applies, and the date it took effect is shown at the top.

19. Complaints

If something is not right, tell us early — message +44 7472 460407 or email hello@conversationcafemorocco.com and we will respond within 5 working days and try to resolve it directly with you before anything more formal.

20. General

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with Moroccan law and, where court proceedings are needed, by the competent courts of Morocco.
