Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before booking a free trial or enrolling in a course with Conversation Café Morocco (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a trial, attending a session, enrolling in the course, or using our homework app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not book.
1. Who we are
Conversation Café Morocco is an English speaking course for working professionals, based in Mohammedia, Morocco, run by Abu — a native English speaker from London with 13 years of teaching and coaching experience.
- WhatsApp: +44 7472 460407
- Email: hello@conversationcafemorocco.com
- Website: conversationcafemorocco.com
2. Definitions
- Café session — the weekly in-person speaking session held in a café in Mohammedia, capped at 10 seats.
- Online session / masterclass — the live online lessons held twice a week. These are separate lessons on their own topics, not a review of the café session, and they have no attendance cap.
- Course — the 10-week intensive programme (approximately 50 hours) combining café sessions, online sessions and homework.
- Homework app — the self-study area of our website (homework modules, audio practice and automated feedback).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book a free trial or enrol in the course. By booking, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you give us (name, phone number, email, level) is accurate.
4. Free trial
- Each person is entitled to one (1) free trial session only.
- The free trial requires no payment details and carries no obligation to enrol.
- Trial places are limited. Before your trial, the coach will contact you by phone or WhatsApp for a short level check; if we cannot reach you, we may release your place to someone on the waiting list.
- If you cannot attend, please tell us in advance by WhatsApp so the seat can be offered to another person. Repeated no-shows may mean we decline further bookings.
- The trial is offered on an as-is basis and does not guarantee that a paid place will be available in the cohort you want.
5. Enrolment and payment
- Enrolment in the 10-week course requires full payment upfront, before the course begins. We do not offer instalment plans.
- Course pricing is as stated on our website at the time of booking, in Moroccan dirhams (MAD). Founding-cohort pricing is limited to the first 10 seats and does not apply to later cohorts.
- Founding-cohort pricing is offered in exchange for a short end-of-course questionnaire and a video testimonial. If you take the discounted place and choose not to provide these, we may ask you to pay the difference up to the standard price.
- Your seat is confirmed only once payment has cleared and we have confirmed it to you in writing (WhatsApp or email).
- Your place is personal to you and may not be transferred, shared or resold to another person without our written agreement.
6. Refund policy
All course fees are non-refundable once you have enrolled and paid. This applies regardless of attendance, satisfaction with the course, or personal circumstances. The free trial exists precisely so you can decide before paying — please use it to make sure the course is right for you.
Two exceptions apply: (a) if we cancel the cohort entirely and cannot offer you a place in a comparable cohort, we will refund the fee in full for the sessions not delivered; and (b) nothing in these Terms removes any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer under Moroccan law.
7. Attendance and missed sessions
- Café sessions are capped at 10 seats. Once you enrol, your seat is reserved for you for the full 10 weeks.
- If you miss a session, there is no make-up class. Missed sessions are forfeited and are not rescheduled, refunded, or credited.
- Sessions start on time. If you arrive late, you are welcome to join, but the session will not be restarted or extended.
- Please check the weekly schedule in advance and plan your attendance accordingly. Reminders are sent by WhatsApp as a courtesy; we are not responsible if a reminder fails to arrive.
8. Sessions cancelled or changed by us
If we cancel a session (for example, due to illness, venue issues, or other circumstances beyond your control):
- A cancelled café (in-person) session will be made up with another in-person session.
- A cancelled online session will be made up with another online session.
We may also change the café venue, the day, or the time of a session where necessary. We will give as much notice as we reasonably can by WhatsApp. In exceptional circumstances (for example, a venue closure or a public restriction) a café session may be delivered online instead.
9. Code of conduct
To keep the group experience positive for everyone:
- No rude, disrespectful, or harassing behaviour toward other students or the coach will be tolerated. This includes discriminatory language, sexual harassment, and abusive messages in any group chat. We reserve the right to remove a student from the course, without refund, for serious or repeated breaches of this rule.
- Café sessions take place in a working café. All attendees are required to purchase a drink or item from the café as a condition of attending the in-person session. This is between you and the café/venue and is separate from your course fee.
- Please respect the privacy of the group: do not record, photograph or share other students without their agreement, and keep what people share in the room in the room.
- English is the working language of every session — that is the point of the club.
10. Course materials and intellectual property
All course materials — including slides, homework content, the self-study app, audio, and any recordings of lessons — are the intellectual property of Conversation Café Morocco / Abu and are provided for your personal use only, under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for the duration of your course.
You may not copy, share, redistribute, repost, resell, or publish any course materials, recordings, or homework content, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission, and you may not use them to teach or train others, commercially or otherwise.
11. Online lessons and technology
- Live online lessons are delivered by video conference (currently Zoom). If we change platform, we will send the new joining details in advance.
- Joining links are personal to you. Please do not forward them or share them publicly.
- Online sessions are run as an interactive lecture: there is no attendance cap, and students who raise their hand get speaking turns. Speaking time online is not guaranteed — the small-group speaking guarantee applies to the 10-seat café session.
- You are responsible for having a suitable device and internet connection. We are not responsible for technical issues on your end that prevent you from joining a session — this is treated as a missed session under Section 7.
12. Homework app and accounts
- Your student account is personal to you. Keep your login details secure and tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.
- Some homework features use automated speech and AI tools to transcribe your recordings and generate feedback. Feedback is a learning aid and can be imperfect — it is not a formal assessment or an exam score.
- Access to the homework app is provided for the duration of your course and may be withdrawn if these Terms are breached.
13. Testimonials, photos and video
If you agree to provide a testimonial (written or video), you grant us permission to use it in our marketing, including on our website, social media, and advertising, until you withdraw that consent in writing.
We sometimes take photos or short videos at café sessions. We will ask before using anything that identifies you, and you can ask us to stop or to remove an image at any time by contacting us. Consent to marketing use is always optional and never a condition of attending.
14. Communications
By giving us your number, you agree that we may contact you on WhatsApp and by email about your trial, your bookings, session reminders, schedule changes and homework. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP or telling us in writing; we will still send the operational messages needed to run your course.
15. Your data
How we collect, use and store your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
16. Limitation of liability
We aim to provide high-quality speaking coaching, but we do not guarantee specific results (such as a particular fluency level, exam score, promotion, or career outcome). Progress depends on your attendance, participation and practice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your participation in the course, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the course is limited to the amount you actually paid us for it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
You attend café sessions at your own risk with respect to the venue itself (e.g. spills, seating, food/drink service), which is operated by a third party, and you are responsible for your own belongings.
17. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example strikes, extreme weather, power or internet outages, illness, venue closure, or government restrictions. Where possible we will reschedule affected sessions or move them online.
18. Changes to the course or these Terms
We may update the course schedule, format, or these Terms from time to time. Where changes materially affect an enrolled student, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via WhatsApp. The version published on this page is the version that applies, and the date it took effect is shown at the top.
19. Complaints
If something is not right, tell us early — message +44 7472 460407 or email hello@conversationcafemorocco.com and we will respond within 5 working days and try to resolve it directly with you before anything more formal.
20. General
- If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and your booking confirmation, are the whole agreement between us.
- Not enforcing a term on one occasion does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else without our written agreement.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with Moroccan law and, where court proceedings are needed, by the competent courts of Morocco.
